The Empress Hotel is the icon of Victoria. For that extra special getaway I would recommend a night at this iconic property, a horse drawn carriage tour and afternoon tea. You can't get more Victorian than that! But seriously, this is a beautiful property (the rooms are a little small) but the history, design & atmosphere make up for the lack of size. Amazing experience. they accomodated us with our infant, took our stroller in the coat check, and made sure my allergies were attended to. They checked about 6 times to make sure I was ok and no item which I was allergic to didn't make it to my plate. They gave us a full banquette because we had our son with us.
