Our teams came together to make a real difference in the communities where we live and work. 🌳 In Ontario, our Women’s Group planted more than 2,000 trees across four of our sites - a remarkable effort to support local ecosystems and biodiversity. 🌲In Québec, our Montreal-East terminal team partnered up with members of the citizen committee to plant eight cedars in a nearby public green space - a great example of local collaboration for long-term impact. This May, as we recognize Mental Health Awareness Month in North America, we're taking meaningful steps to prioritize mental well-being across Lafarge Canada. Recently, we brought a creative touch by hosting canine-assisted wellness sessions at our Toronto Head Office, offering colleagues a fun and engaging way to take a break and reset. The response was overwhelmingly positive and reflected the power of small, mindful moments. In addition, we’re hosting a Canada-wide webinar this month to support our teams even further. The session will walk employees through our full range of available mental health resources, demonstrate how to navigate our mental health platform, and provide a space for a discussion about mental wellness at work. A few weeks ago, our very own Abdullahi Gaal, Technical Services Supervisor, took the stage at the Concrete Ontario Lower Carbon Concrete Symposium to showcase how Lafarge Canada is leading the way in low-carbon innovation through ECOPact—our sustainable concrete solution. His presentation walked through the past, present, and future of lower carbon concrete, emphasizing real-world results in performance, constructability, and cost-effectiveness. It also highlighted the collaborative work we’re doing with partners across the industry to support Canada’s journey toward a net-zero construction sector.
